The Australian Government is seeking applications from community organisations for potential Round 1 Green Army Projects.
Applications for Round 1 opened on Monday 14 April 2014 and close on Friday 9 May 2014.

Projects involve teams of 10 (up to nine participants and one team supervisor) engaged for a period of 20-26 weeks to deliver a suite of activities that support environmental and heritage conservation outcomes. Applications can contain a proposal for more than one Green Army project where each project contributes to a shared conservation outcome.
Projects may be carried out across urban, regional and remote Australia on public land, Indigenous-held lands, or private land where there is a clear community and environmental and heritage benefit.
Round 1 applications must include at least one project to commence between 1 July 2014 and 30 June 2015, with all projects completed by 30 June 2016.
