Pam Whitely is coming to Bairnsdale and Goongerah to talk about the Victorian Wildlife Health Surveillance program, wildlife diseases and the findings of their research over the past 10 years.
Pam’s objectives are to understand normal health patterns in free-range endemic mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs in Victoria. The 10 year project relies on the Victorian community to report sick/euthanised or dead wildlife to determine the cause of death. The project uses this information to investigate the changing patterns in wildlife health, new types of infections, outbreaks and the factors influencing the spread of infections.
