On Saturday November 17th EGLN is running a rainforest walk, talk and plant i.d. event at Wyanga Park Winery.
Starting at 9.30am and led by Tom Crook of the East Gippsland Rainforest Conservation Management Network, the walk will look at the littoral (near coastal) rainforest vegetation, including rare plant species, that occurs around that part of North Arm, as well as an adjacent rainforest restoration site.
Numbers are strictly limited for this walk, which will be followed by tea and coffee at the winery, and you will need to register in advance.
PLEASE NOTE that this walk will involve walking up and down a slope (350m each way). Our route will not be following a formed path through bush, and will involve going over uneven ground with trip hazards – wildlife inter-actions are a possibility! Appropriate footwear and clothing will need to be worn, and insect repellent will be a must. Total walk length will be between 3 and 4kms.
To register for the walk please contact Paul on 5152 0608
