Volunteer opportunities

Landcare is an organisation that cares about making a difference for our local environment. Whether on farms, private land or community areas, our success is based on the hard work, passion and support of individuals, land-owners, and community groups – without this many of the projects delivered by EGLN and our Member Groups just would not be possible. You don’t have to have large areas of land yourself to get involved – everyone is welcome, and we welcome all skillsets too.

You can support us by getting involved in the following ways:

  • Volunteer – either on an EGLN project or through joining your local group.
  • Make a donation (make this a link)

The act of volunteering has been proven to have positive physical, mental and emotional benefits, with volunteers enjoying the social engagement and sense of purpose volunteering can bring.

Planting Indigenous trees and shrubs is a key part of what we do at Landcare, and we love to have volunteers of all ages and abilities working alongside us, to make the East Gippsland area a diverse, healthy landscape which provides shelter and food for native animals, as well as improving water quality and preventing land degradation.

EGLN hold many planting days throughout the year – if you’re interested in being involved, you can either send us a message through the link below or keep an eye on our socials where upcoming activities will be advertised.

The East Gippsland Landcare Network would like to acknowledge the Traditional custodians of the lands on which we carry out our works as Landcarers. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and honour the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ unique cultural and spiritual relationship to the land, waters and seas.
